MANUAL THERAPY
Manual therapy is a predominantly passive form of treatment with the aim of identifying and treating dysfunctions in muscles, tendons, joints and nerves in a targeted manner. This is done according to a structured concept.
WHAT WILL BE DONE IN OUR MT SESSIONS?
In MT you will be specifically examined for your posture, muscle tension, joint mobility and strength. You will then be treated according to the findings. This is mostly done with your hands, but you will also get exercises to take home with you for your long-term success.
HOW DOES MANUAL THERAPY WORK?
MT has a pain-relieving, mobility-promoting, muscle tension-reducing and mobilizing effect. The focus is on joints and muscles and how they work together. MT helps you get back into activity. Subsequent physiotherapy is often useful.
FOR WHICH COMPLAINTS IS MT USEFUL?
MT can help with acute pain in the musculoskeletal system such as cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, intervertebral disc damage, knee joint pain, foot pain, hip pain, elbow pain or hand pain! MT is also useful for jaw joint disorders/pain and headaches.
